Wubbena, Swalve, Heeren, Saathoff
I am looking for information on my mother's side of the family. Her mother was Martha Annette Swalve b. 5/23/1901 d. 5/16/1970. I do not have her parents names. She was born in forreston, Illinois and married Samuel A Wubbena. Any leads would be appreciated. THX

My aunt Martha (Swalve) was married to Sam Wubbena, with two sons still in the Forreston area --Philip and Leonard, along with one daughter. Check with them. They are in the phone book.

Good suggestion. Unfortunately I have already been down that path as Martha's daughter is my mother. Do you have any further information regarding Martha's parents. I have some lineage on her father (John Swalve) but only birth and dath dates for her mother (Harmina Hummers). Thanks. Mary Beth

Not sure if you are still looking for this family, but I think we share ancestors in Martha's grandmother. Let me know if you are still looking.

Re: Wubbena, Swalve, Heeren, Saathoff
I hadn't looked at my genealogy papers in forever and then my kids started asking questions and I ended up here. I don't have any more information than I did back then. I am stuck at Harmke saathoff born 3/23/1840in Ihlowefehn and died 10/17/1914. She came to America in 1866 with her parents and sister. She married Albert Wubbena on 2/6/1867. Her parents were Maria Frerichs and Harms Peter Saathoff. I would love any facts or anecdotes. Thanks
