David, my paternal great, great grandfather was John S. Wright, born 21 Dec 1851 (unknown location) and appears in the 1880 US Census living in Flat Creek, Lancaster Cty, SC.
He died 14 Aug 1903 in Rock Hill, SC. I can't find any record of his parents, do you have him in the Bible records you cited in you post?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
