James, Henry, and Joseph all migrated to Arkansas. Henry on to Texas

Joseph Wren of York Co. SC died bef. 20 Feb. 1837 when admistration of his estate was filed. According to the 1860 cen. of York Co. SC wife Elizabeth was b. abt. 1793 in Lancaster Dist. SC.
At the time of his death Joseph Wren was the guardian of the children of Mark Allen, dec'd, Mary Ann Allen, Isaac Allen & Middleton Allen. These children were given settlement of their father's estate. Most likely these were children of Joseph Wren's dau. Mary Ann Wren Allen. Others named in the estate: wife, Elizabeth Wren, sons William A. Wren, James J. Wren, Joseph L.(sic S)Wren & Henry C. Wren. James, Joseph & Henry being minor children were put under the guardianship of brother William A.Wren, Wm. H. Mason signed for wife Nancy Wren Mason. John Rodney was the adminstrator of Joseph Wren estate.

Corrections to my original post proved via documentation in probate records for Joseph Wren, William, Susannah, & Elizabeth Crook (Sarah's parents and sister), Ann Anderson (Elizabeth's mother), Mark Allen (Elizabeth's first husband), & John Allen (Mark's father).

Joseph had two wives first Sarah and second Elizabeth.

In addition, Joseph had 2 more sons, Francis and Jeremiah, with his second wife Elizabeth.

Included in the Joseph Wren probate records are documents pertaining to the settlement of the estate of Mark Allen. He was Elizabeth Anderson's first husband. The records document the children of Mark and Elizabeth. The probate records of John Allen, Mark's father, also contain documentation of the relationships.

The will of Ann Anderson documents Elizabeth's marriage to a Wren and children Francis and Jeremiah Wren.

Joseph was the guardian of these children at the time of his death. Joseph Wren was Elizabeth Anderson Allen's second husband.

and his wife's tombstone:

MARTHA R. FARRIS; b. Nov 21, 1831, Chester Co, South Carolina; d. Oct 06, 1903. I found their names in the previous post, and thought someone would really enjoy seeing the tombstones. They are buried at Bethany Presbyterian Cemetery in Tishomingo County, Mississippi. Most of the people here were related, and I thought it odd to see Mr. Wren from South Carolina there, so I took the pictures.
