Hi, has anyone on here got any ancestors that spell Wraight with an e on the end please? My grandfather was Lesley Charles Wraighte with the e, however in previous generations some ancestors appear as Wraighte and some appear as Wraight

I have dozens of "Wraights" on my family tree but have never found one with an"E" at the end.

My line is spelt wraighte, but looking back it has also been spelt wraight, wreight and wrait, I have spoken to a few other descendents of Wraight who has paperwork for a settlement in Faversham from 1700s spelt Wraighte. Some of the family were illiterate and names were spelt by someone else by hearing the name spoken which may account for the many variations?
