I was looking for information on my great aunt, Lilla Worthy and found this small series of posts. Roxie was her daughter. I am very sorry for their loss. Both were exceptional human beings.

My connection to Aunt Lilla comes as a result of my grandmother marrying William Caleb Robinson after her first husband died of pneumonia in the early 19
30's. Lilla was William's baby sister.

Aunt Lilla and her husband, Howard, owned a grocery store and a toy store in Oxford when I was young. This was the late 50's and early 60's. It was a joy when we visited from Baltimore, Maryland.

Aunt Lilla was my favorite aunt and one of the best people I have ever had the pleasure to know.
