Although I have been looking for ancestors from PA, I have started to realize how many Works thare have been here in Massachusetts in the past. I have been gathering up a bit of info on them, but I will keep you in mind the next time I am at the Library. There are a few John Works sprinkled around. I have a page from the index to the Probate records of Worcester Co. 1731-1831, and there is a John Work listed for the Year 1793, Residence "Royalston", Nature "Gaurdianship" Case # 67688, also a Martha Work is listed also in "Royalston" for 1783. Nature, "Gaurdianship", case # 67693. Also ther is a John W. Work listed for 1878 in "Templeton". Nature, "Will" case # 67689. Templeton, I believe was originally part of Royalston. I made a point of looking these ones up because of an interesting fact that I came accross by accident. My father (James Work) bought land and built a home in Templeton, and I came accross this info on John Work. It seems the portion of land that he had was practically where my Father built his home.
