Hi my mother was the first daughter fo harry henderson cloke. I rmember seeing him when I was small and I met kate too. My mother was left at her aunts when her mother died and she was really small only four years old but Harry was her father and I have the names of his siblings could you get in touch with me to exchange some information please.

I'm so glad you responded to my message! Euphemia Ross is the sister of my great grandmother Daisy Ethel Ross Cormier. If you look here http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/17749001/person/553990855 you'll see a picture of Jacholiah Woolridge Ross, with daughters Daisy & Bertha. Do you have any pictures of your grandmother or other Woolridge or Ross family members? If so, would you mind sharing them? The picture I liked to is the only one I have of any of the Rosses.

Tristram Woolridge son David married Harriet Brown/their dau Jacholiah Woolridge married Malcolm Ross/their dau Euphemia Ross married Albert Girvan Amhurst,Nova Scotia/Her son Garnet Girvan married Mildred Morton Kent County,New Brunswick..They are my parents..

Looking for others who are researching Tristram Woolridge; born about 1795, a native of Devonshire, England, emigrated to Prince Edward Island, Canada in 1831, settled in Lot 34/Charlottetown. Had at least two sons, William and David, whom I've also located in Charlottetown.

I wrote to DC and got his application for social Security. I also have post cards he sent my mother and his Aunt Annie Burns when overseas in WW1. I have been able to get some informtion on the rest of the Wooldridges except for my great Grandfather C.E.--I know he lived in Houston , he was a poet and in one census raised Chickens. When his wife lia died he went to Wyoming and died there. I can find so real leads to his parents --he was in the Luling Texas area during the Civil War.Send me an E-mail and I will be glad to share with you other information. His wife Lia Smith is from the Houston family that came from the Carolina's .

Edwin Collin Wooldridge and Lina Smith were my g g g grandparents, via their daughter, Josie Fitch Wooldridge (b 2 Feb 1876 in Luling, TX) who married William Lenard (Leonard?) Lavell 12 Feb 1904.

I'm grateful for any information you can share re EC. I have Lina's maternal lineage, but don't have information past Lina's father, William Sterling Smith.

Lex Wooldridge / Wooldrige

I'm trying to help friends find records about their father, who disappeared when they were younger (in the 60's). All we really know is that he went by the name Lex, although his oldest daughter thinks his first name might have been Henry or Harry. He kept SOME contact with them, and the last they heard he was living in a hotel in San Diego, about 1997 - 8. Some reference was made in that postcard that sounds as if he had been living outside the U. S. and had just returned. He married Daisy Ann Shoaf in the early 50's: Daisy was from Arizona, but they apparently lived (and might have met) in Ohio. Was apparently U.S. Army at one time, but there is some question about when and how he left the Army. Anyway, any help, hints or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

There are two Sam Wooldridges in my tree. the oldest wasborn before the Civil War , his parents were Lina Smith & Edwin Collins Wooldridge of Luling & SAn Antonio,he was thier oldest child , went to Wyoming in late 1890's and after his Mother's death in San Antonio his father went to live wit him and died in 1910 in Wyoming . He had 4 siblings, Edward, Annie, Josie& Robert. He married Bessie Barrow. his brother Edward had a son named Sam that served in WW1 he married Norma Voight and had one daughter Doris married to Sgt. Bob Moore. The 1910 cesus shows a Daughter born in Wyoming . he was born April 20, 1892.Sorry to have been so slow , hope this helps.

Born in Lockhart Texas 4/20/1892 Father Thomas Mother Kate Rice--I have information on a Sam Wooldridge that served in WW1--H e had spent time in Montana where his Uncle Sam and Aunt Josie lived and then returned to Texas. The Wooldridge I am trying to trace is E C my great grandfather I know he was born in Mississippi and the came to Texas.. Any help you can give me will be appreciated . Marge

My great-great grandfather, Charles WOOLDRIDGE (b.1855) married (1878) Phoebe FOLEY (b.1855). Ellis Island records show them arriving in 1907 as US citizens living in England.

They had 5 children: Ernest (b.1879), Arthur, Mary, Frederick, and Harvey. Ernest is my great grandfather. He married (abt 1901) Rachel PEMBERTON (b.1882). Rachel had 2 brothers listed in the 1930 census as being born in England.

Ernest and Rachel had 8 children. The first two are Charles John (b. 1903, DE) and Ernest (b. 1904, DE). Ernest (my grandfather) married (1928, Elkton, MD, later divorced) Almeda NELSON (b.1912, VA).

They had 5 children: Ernest Mitchell (b.1928) and Charles Thomas(b.1931), Lawrence, Mary, and Almetra (my mother).

Do any of these names sound familiar?
