My great-great grandfather, Charles WOOLDRIDGE (b.1855) married (1878) Phoebe FOLEY (b.1855). Ellis Island records show them arriving in 1907 as US citizens living in England.

They had 5 children: Ernest (b.1879), Arthur, Mary, Frederick, and Harvey. Ernest is my great grandfather. He married (abt 1901) Rachel PEMBERTON (b.1882). Rachel had 2 brothers listed in the 1930 census as being born in England.

Ernest and Rachel had 8 children. The first two are Charles John (b. 1903, DE) and Ernest (b. 1904, DE). Ernest (my grandfather) married (1928, Elkton, MD, later divorced) Almeda NELSON (b.1912, VA).

They had 5 children: Ernest Mitchell (b.1928) and Charles Thomas(b.1931), Lawrence, Mary, and Almetra (my mother).
