no I have not heard any John WOODWARD in PA. Steel.
Do you have any time frame on this John WOODWARD
As far as I know Our John WOODWARD in still in England. We have no notes or knowledge of him or related lines of his in USA. And I'm still looking for their entry records as it would of been prior to Fall of 1848, Some researchers think Canada is the entry but they are guess because we cant find USA entry to date. John's Son ( Rev. in England ) Edward WOODWARD both born in England as far as we know. And Edward is the only one we know of that came to US. Do you have any living male WOODWARD of this line perhaps a DNA marker can bring the steel Lore back to the heat. I'm trying to get as many male WOODWARD's that I can to do the DNA sample if it does not help now it sure might just clear things up for the future generation of researchers. We have both WOODWARD and WOODARD spelling that married in one of recent line, I sure would like to see if the old DNA can sort them out. As the WOODARD line has a brick wal just like us and they are both older lines from western Frontier days 1850's IA, ILL, IN and OH. The WOODWARD came straight out of Endland in ca. 1848. It sure would be interesting to sort them out with DNA I think. Let me know if your considering or have done a DNA sample somewhere. We done one but its a female WOODWARD, I'm hoping our only male will do it. He's holding out, his concern is about confidentiality now days.
Thanking in advance. P.Woodward
3 links for DNA projects that I have Bookmarked
http://smgf.org/index.jspxour WOODWARD DNA sample was with an old original BYU project headed by Prof. Scott WOODWARD (Highly respected with old Mummy's DNA, proof what was known or disproving and linking up those unsolved mysteries of Lore or what was thought might be their Genealogy lines) back in the beginings of DNA and Genealogist mixing it up. AS a possible researching tool to unlock or remove those brick wall. I think the Smgf website took over where BYU left off recently.
