im pretty sure he was a woods by blood, but not the child of the marriage. he adoptive parents were james william woods dob 1861 wimbledon and an eleanor maria hall from norfolk. by all accounts the relationship he had with eleanor maria was not a happy one and as soon as james woods died he was put in a home for destitute boys when the family seemed to be quite well off. his biological mother was an emma james and i think his father was either james woods or a very close blood relative. by the way whats the woods/worsop theory you refer to in your message?
