I’m looking for some help on both Byron County and the WOOD(S) family. We have a family Bible entry that says a William Robert WOOD was born April 2, 1865 in Byron Co., Kentucky.

I’ve searched high and low and cannot find “Byron County” although I’ve found a number of references to it in other genealogy works. From what I think I’ve learned, that “area” was around Cave City, Glasgow, etc. – what seems to be present day Barren Co. Can anyone help me here?

I would also appreciate hearing from anyone researching the WOOD(S) families in that area.
