Yes I do have their marriage certificate but let me try and explain why things seem rather odd and I cant seem to get very far.

Sidney Lancelot Wood was born 1888/89, married 21st Feb 1920 aged 31 and died 17th Jan 1938 aged 49.

Now, although he states his father as John Samuel Wood he does not list anywhere with that father and this is why.

On 25th Dec 1873 John Samuel Wood married Mary Ann Gowan and she died 30th October 1888 giving birth to her last daughter.

On the 5th August 1976 John William Holmes married Agnes Maria Leggett Griffiths, John then died prior to 1891 because John Samuel Wood and Agnes Maria Holmes then married on the 6th May 1891.

The problem I am facing is that I have tried Sidney with all combinations of the above parents and each time they tell me I have no match and I just dont know what to do next.

I appreciate you taking the time to read my posting and if you can give me some pointers I would be eternally grateful.
