My grandmother Lorna Pichotto nee Wood, had written/drawn a lineage chart (which I still have), back in the early 1970's, of Walter Nutter Wood to his father, which she wrote was Rev. Robert Wood Jr. noting they lived in Pink Hill Missouri and was a methodist minister.

She then had Rev. Robert Jr. connected to Robert H. Wood Sr. noting he owed a large plantation outside of Kansas City. Which is where Pink hill and Sni-A-Bar (Their residences) were.

You indicate that John Wood is his father... I'm just not sure what to think here because if this is accurate then maybe my grandmother was off a generation or ? I'm not able to find sources that substantiate either one of them as his father. I'm hoping there's a documented record, biblical or through the methodist church... I'd love to know the source you found that led you to John as Robert's father.
There is another possibility...she may have gotten this mixed up with her maternal grandfather Rev. Erasmus Young from Michigan.
