Fred and Mina (Wriedan) Wlecke were married in Hamilton Co., OH in 1850.
Fred and Mina are buried in the Vine Street Hill Cemetery. He died in 1896 and she died in 1899.
I have yet to find them on any census.

Has anyone researched these families? or the Wlecke family in particular?
I am trying to connect these Wlecke's to a family?

Anna L. Wlecke married Frederick C. Ernsting 10 Jun 1858
Caroline Wlecke married Edward B. Macke 12 Sept. 1896

The main family I have found in Cincinnati was Frederick Wlecke and Minnie/Mena Vrieden/Wrenden.

Thanks for any help you might be able to provide.

I have been researching the Wlecke / Blecke families that settled in Cleveland, OH.
Is anyone else researching this family?

There seems to be two main branches or families. I'm not sure if they are related yet or not.

The first is that of John Henry Wlecke or Henry J. Wlecke. He lived at 78 Penn St. He was living there in 1874 through his death in 1889. He is listed in the 1880 census as Paul Vlecker.
His first wife was Mary? or Mana? who died in 1884. He then remarried to Frederika (Miller) Pfahl in 1884. She had previously been married to Christ Pfahl. She died in 1909.

The second line is the family of Frederick Wlecke and Henrietta (Kleinmeyer).
Henrietta came to the US from Germany in 1872 with her family. She died in 1901. Fred died in 1878 in Cleveland.
Their children include:
Ernest Frederick, b.1838, settled in Pemberville, Wood County, OH by a 1st cousin? Frederick Ernest Wlecke. (Can anyone link these families?)
John Henry, b.1841, died single in 1925 in Cleveland.
Lenora, b. 1843, married Clamor (Clemens) Dresing and settled in Cincinnati, OH (not sure when she cam to US.)
Anna Maria, b. 1845, married Christoph Frederick Reinker.
Clamor, b. 1848, married Mary Blase
John Frederick, b. 1853, married Anna Barlag
Ernst H., b. 1858, married Anna Mary Reese
George F., b. 1860, married Louise Rolf
Most of these brothers were cigar makers.
They belonged to the Lutheran Church and many are buried in the Lutheran Cemetery in Cleveland.

There may be one more son - John Henry Wlecke, b. 1837, married Mary Wischmeyer.
He also lived in Cleveland before moving to Hannibal, Marion County, Missouri. According to his death record he was buried in Cleveland even though he died in Missouri in 1912.
Some (all?) from this branch took on the name Blecke. I have not found sufficient evidence to link this John Henry as a son of Frederick and Henrietta although other researchers have placed him as their son.

There is another branch of Wlecke in Cincinnati that I have also been researching. But so far I have found no connection between these families.

I'm hoping to connect with someone else researching this family.

Is there anyone in the Cleveland area willing to look for a will for a few people? - (John Henry (Paul?) Wlecke or Frederika or Henry Frederick or Henrietta.)
Thanks!
