Hi Bob, it was really nice to talk with you on the phone yesterday. I have dug my family research stuff out of the closet today, and went over some of the info you gave me-compared it to what I have-and I'm afraid, that I'm really going to muddy up the waters for you. Never-the-less, I will send you what I have via snail mail.
This family of Witner's I have does not have an Allamandas or Oliver anywhere in it, although I'm sure they are connected.
I have several Daniels that fit your senario, but they're mixed up, a result of traveling westward and leaving children behind with relatives. This is where the census records get confusing.
1st Daniel-B, 12/1777 (Greenwich Twp., Berks Co., Pa)
he is the son of Rev. John George Wittner and Johanna
Christina (Goehr). Info obtained from Rev. John Wittner's
church records. Death date-3/1835, Interment given by Rev.
Charles G. Herman.
Married-1st-Elizabeth Billich (Billig) on 6/16/1807
2nd-Sophia
Child of Daniel and Sophia:
Susanna, DOB-7/20/1823, Bap. in Bethel Zion
Church in Grimsville, Greenwich Twp, Pa on
8/24/1823.
Sponsers were Johannes and Susanna Wittner
2nd Daniel-DOB-1793, son of George Theobald Wittner, grandson of Rev. John George Wittner.
This Daniel married a Susannah (?) (Info verified in Will)
Numerous children included:
1-George, 2-Sarah, 3-Urias, 4-Hetty, 5-Lucy Ann
6-Amanda, 7-Eliza Ann, 8-Marietta, 9-Harriet,10-Daniel Jr.
11-Melissa,12-Abraham, 13-Adelia
3rd Daniel, also found in Cenus records with George Theobald
Wittner. DOB- 1809 , married a Susan (no other info found)

These generations include the move westward, so I have found much conflicting information in relation to Parentage/Child.
Hopefully we can sort through this and get everyone where they belong! This summer I plan to continue work on this family along with my line of Witner's, I'll keep you posted on what I find, looking forward to sharing your info.
Catherine
