Hi Catherine and thank you so much for your hard work for this family. There may have been an extra Daniel before mine b. ca. 1803, the one buried at Hamburg PA. The census shows an older Daniel in Windsor Twp in the early 1800s and then the younger one in 1840 with three sons and I think three daughters.
The Susanna b. 1823 certainly fits Susanna Witner Heckman buried at Hamburg. Wilhelmina Witner Adams is also buried there. There is one more I haven't found but she may be Elizabeth or Regina. The sons were Jacob d. 1840s and buried at Hamburg and Alamandus (Allen A. Witner) b. 1839 and David Witner b. 1832 d. 1896 buried at South Bend, IN.
Sophia appears to be the mother of all the children.
It is Interesting that Davids family in South Bend IN decided to use the Wittner spelling to distinguish themselves from the Witner cousins already there from PA and from the Summit Co. OH branch.
Billig or Billich is a common name in Hamburg but don't know how we connect we them yet.
