Looking for any relatives of Amos E. Wisell, Born: Dec. 18, 1921 in Warren, VT. He was married to my Grandmother; Alice M. Vincent. He disappeared before my Dad was born and have since found relatives in NE. Curious if there are more out there :)

Martha Garrity?

In my father's bible it lists Timothy Wisell as marrying Martha Garrity. Everything I'm finding on ancestry.com is saying he married Caroline Ikey/Skey. Does anyone have any information on Martha Garrity? This is the only discrepancy that I've found so far.

Tom, I have nothing on her ancestors. I do have from burial permit in Vergennes, book 8 pg 165, that Caroline died in Bristol VT 6/20/1916. Bristol should have death record which would have her parents. Timothy and Caroline (Ikey) Wissell are buried in Prosect Cemetery in Vergennes section B Lot 25.
I went to that site and didn't find any info but will go back again. It was French and I had to have it into English and didn't seem to find the right church.

Hi again. If you use 'Google Earth' and search for
Cimetiere, Marieville, QC it will show that the cemetery is about two blocks from the church.
By the way, I'm also in Vermont and have been searching for info on Ancestor of Caroline Ikey who married Timothy Loisel on 23Feb1857 in Shorham, VT. I'm helping a friend at the VT-FCGS (Vermont French Canadian Genealogical Society) in Colchester, VT. She has the Loisel, Wisel. etc line but hit a brick wall on Caroline Ikey b. 18Aug1839 in Fair Haven, VT.

Saw your message on Pierre Loisel from Rouville.
The name of the parish is Ste-Marie-de-Monnoir
also known as Saint-Nom-de-Marie.
The following site http://www.lieuxdeculte.qc.ca/ has a cultural evaluation of the church. The parish was founded in 1801. It was common at the time to have the cemetery on property adjoining the church. The church is located on
603, rue Claude-de-Ramezay in Marieville, Rouville, QC.
Use Google map for directions.
The record of Pierre Loisel's death is a burial record which states that he was buried in the parish cemetery.

I have found that Pierre Loisel, father of Oliver Wisell in Vermont, died in 1845 in Marieville, Rouville County, Quebec. Looking for any relative that may know where he is buried and if you would have directions to his grave. Thank you , Alan Lathrop in Vermont
