Hello Monte,
I have been researching the Erastus Winters family for many years. LDS has led me to believe that Erastus was the son of James and Elizabeth Winters;as you have indicated. I have never been able to prove this with any primary documentation -have you been able to document that? According to your findings James and Elizabeth were married about 1831 and Erastus was born in 1820. I know these "gaps" were not unusual with circuit judges etc. but this seems an unusually long period of time.
Erastus's second wife was named "Jane" per the 1880 Indiana census (Jay County). They were married sometime after 1870.
You have listed a number of other relationships that I found interesting and would be curious to see your documentation - sure would help to solve some of my puzzles!
Linda

I recognize Alfred Winters name as my great grandfather. He had two children-Leo & Bill. Leo had two children-Leola and Vernon. Leola didn't have children but Vernon had five-Bill, Bob, Kathy, Kerry and Barry. Do you have any information?
