Does anyone know who the parents of Abraham Winslow and Elizabeth "Betsey" Welch were. There is sworn testimony that Abraham lived with his father in Freeport before his service as a Pvt. in the Rev. War and his marriage to Betsey in 1789. I find Samuel Winslow on the 1790 federal census for Freeport and both Samuel and Abraham on the 1800 census. Abraham was killed by a falling tree 1n 1806.
There is a Samuel Winslow b. 12 June 1747 with a son, Samuel b. 1763 d. 1786. So the elder Samuel may have been the father. Sill I find numerous children from the father's marriage, none of them named Abraham. Has anyone yet found the answer?
