We are having an Orr family reunion and you are invited!

Where: Picnic Point at Buckeye Lake Park

If you have a fishing license, you can sit along the bank and hope that you catch a fish.
If you have a boat, there are a couple ramps at the park that you can use to put your boat into the water.
About 15 minutes away from the park, is Fairfield beach, where you can go swimming. When we were young, we usually went swimming on the sandbar in the middle of the lake; by the way this is still used. I was told that last Saturday in the afternoon there was probably 50 boats parked at this sand bar.
On the weekends, I think there is a pontoon type boat and it costs ten dollars for an hour ride around the lake. When we were growing up, our boat had an outboard motor on it, but I found it a lot more fun to just use the oars and ride around in the lily pads.
Back when we were growing up, this area was an amusement park with roller coaster slot machines, merry-go-round, etc., but the only thing that you will see left is the fountain. This park was called the playground of Ohio. People came from all over the state.
