I am slowly losing my mind trying to break through a log jam in my family tree.

My great-great-grandfather is John T. Wilson. He was born approximately 1821, possibly, in German Township, Harrison County, Ohio. He committed suicide by hanging in 1871 at Buckeye Furnace, Milton Township, Jackson County, Ohio. No death date or burial record exists. He is listed as a farmer, but a majority of my ancestors were coal miners, although they were listed as farmers in census reports. John T. Wilson was married to Mary Ann Dinger (1830-1913/4)I had always heard we were from Virginia, however when my great grandfather, Jefferson Davis Wilson (1861-1931), passed away my grandfather, who supplied the information for the death certificate, put "Ind." as the home of John T. Wilson.

If anyone has information or a direction to follow I would greatly appreciate any help you can supply.
