Irene M. Pierce Wilson Irene M. Pierce Wilson, age 85, residence 2 Gibson Street, North East,
formerly of Orchard Beach Rd.
died on Sunday December 23rd, 2007 at Hamot Medical Center. Born March 14, 1922 in Greenfield Township
to the late Ora and Goldie Prindle Pierce.
She was a graduate of North East High School,
very active in the First Baptist Church of North East,
where she was a Sunday school teacher for over 35 years,
sang in the choir,
member of Orange PT, formerly a member of the rost pt.
Where she was treasurer,
also a former Deacon of the church.
Formerly employed at Welch Foods for 19 years,
retiring in 1984.
Preceded in death by her husband Howard W. Wilson
on May 24, 1990;
grandson Thomas Wilson;
great-granddaughter Brittany Stitt;
brothers Dayton,
Milton and Merle Pierce;
sisters Ruby, Bissell
and Jean Wheeler.
Survived by her sons Eugene Wilson and his wife MaryLou
of Pleasanton, Calif.,
and Clare Wilson and his wife Barbara J. of North East; daughters Deanna Parker and her husband Patrick
of Loganville, Ga.
and Louise Freeman and her husband Raymond of Sherman, N.Y. Sister Hazel Boyd of North East,
12 grandchildren
and 14 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 S. Lake Street. North East
on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 and are invited to attend funeral services on Thursday at 11 am at the funeral home. Officiating Reverend Robert Klecan, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Interment North East Cemetery.
