I am looking for information Benjamin or Benjamen Williams born about 1820 in an unknown part of Wales. I don't know when he came to the US, but it would have been before 1853. He is listed on the 1870 Wisconsin Census with children: Elizabeth, 17; Racheal, 13; William, 11; Katherine, 9; Jane, 4; John, 2. Elizabeth was listed as born in Pennsylvania and the others were born in Wisconsin. Benjamin's wife may have been named Jane, but she is not listed on the census so I believe she had died. John Ellis Williams is my great grandfather and he married my great grandmother Ellen Osborne King in New Jersey. I know this is a long shot, but if any of this sounds familiar, information would be appreciated. Thank you.
