Would love to get in touch with anyone descended from Wiley's who lived in Owen County, KY. My ggg-grandparents are Salem Wiley and Sarah Ann Marshall. Salem was born in Scott County, KY Dec 20, 1821, married Ellen Hunley (1st wife), 2nd wife Sarah is my ggg-grandmother - m. Feb 1847. Child from 1st wife John R. Wiley, 1st child from Sarah Marshall - Benjamin Franklin Wiley was my gg-grandfather b. 3-28-1848, m. 2-1-1872 to Sophronia Rebecca Terry. Other children of Salem and Sarah - Melvina, Lewis D., George A., Polly Frances, Rosa White, John Salem. My gg-grandparents Benjamin and Sophronia left Owen Co, KY in mid-late 1870's for Hickman County, KY. Later on, Polly (married George H Tackett) and Rosa (married Jackson Roe Tackett) moved out to western KY as well.

If you're descended from a Wiley that attended Stamping Ground Baptist Church it's likely we have a common ancestor. Salem Wiley attended that church at least until 1848.
