My g,g,g grandmother was named Sarah Wiles.

I have in my information that she was born May ? 1799 in England.

She married Mathew Emerson August 19, 1827 at St. Andrew’s Church in Bonby, England

They were living in Lincolnshire.

Mathew Emerson came to New York around 1830.

Sarah (Wiles) Emerson came to New York (Morristown and Dekalb respectfully) June 1831

With their two sons and met up with Mathew in New York.

Children of Mathew and Sarah (Wiles) Emerson:

Isaac born December 7, 1827 England

George born 1829 died enroute to America buried at sea.

Elizabeth born March 17, 1832 Morristown, NY

George born August 6, 1834 Morristown, NY
(George went to live with a William & Lydia Thompson after Mathew died...might this Lydia have been a Lydia Wiles?)

Thomas born About 183 Morristown or Dekalb, NY

James born March 28, 1839 Dekalb, NY

Martha Jane born August 29,1841 Dekalb, NY

It is written in my family information that Sarah had at least one sister

The name of this sister could be:

Elsie, Ann or Catherine.

I greatest hope is to be able to trace Sarah Wiles and Mathew Emerson’s parents in England.
