I have the same problem you do with my Stephen Wilcox. He was in the Town of Junius in the 1820 census, very near Wayne co. I have a copy of the patent when your Stephen bought land in Mi. dated September 15, 1835. Do you have it? My Stephen had a son in Hillsdale co. Mi. and he had a Stephen like your Stephen did. I am still looking for my Stephen. Very confusing!
