Hi, I have been reading everyones postings about Gardner Wilcox, the one born in 1805. I believe that this is the one that I am chasing. From what I have learned I believe that he is the father of Newcomb Wilcox who married either Adda Lowden or Adillies Landon, I have found conflicting reports on her name. My problem is that I have nothing to confirm this. I am tracing this line because my gg grandmother was Gertrude Wilcox b 1874 in Franklin cnty. OH. She married George Henderson in 1894 in Cuyahoga Cnty. I am trying to tie her into all this Wilcox stuff, but I have had no luck until I got a response from the Wilcox mailing list saying that her father was Newcomb Wilcox and his father was Gardner Wilcox. That is all the information that I have, and like I said, none of it is documented that Newcomb is Gertrude's father.(Does anyone know who Newdcomb married and what their childrens names were?) What really surprises me is that out of all the people out there doing Wilcox genealoy, nobody has anything on her or her family and that is what I am trying to find out. I keep hitting dead ends so I am very frustrated. Please, if any of you can help me sort this out, please contact me. I need help!!
