I am hoping someone can help me find a Mr. Widner, who married Martha (Mattie) Ellen Pickle around 1898 in Smyth or Washington County, VA. The couple had three children, Arthur Elvin, b 1899, Claude Edward, b 1901, and Garnett Thomas, b. 1904. By 1909, Mattie had married William Hess and was living in West Virginia. The boys took the name Hess. Any help with either the Widner or Pickle family would be very much appreciated. Note: Mattie was born 10 June 1882, in Washington County; death cert lists parents unknown.
