Many Widners in Alabama are kinfolks of mine one way or another so I am constantly searching to make connections. In searching memorials on findagrave I see one for Minnie Bell Widner Dossey so I begin the search to see if I can find the parents of Minnie Bell. The 1900 census has Minnie B (though it is listed as Nemie B) living with her mother Rody C. Rody is listed as born in April of 1858 as a widow and having four children all of who are still living at the time. Minnie is listed as beng born in July of 1884 which matches the tombstone. Who was the father? The 1880 census does not have Rody but there is a Caroline living with an Evans family but no details on wether she is even married or not. By 1910 Minnie is married and no further signs of Rody. Can anyone shed some light?
