OK - it's only partly true. We've primarily focused on Vick at
http://worldfamilies.net/surnames/v/vick/index.html.
But since finding a pretty unique YDNA result we realized our more distant cousins may be WICKs not VICKs. After all the Germanic W is said as a V. Our haplogroup Q result points toward Vikings. And we're not finding matches for any other VICKs than the descendants of our forebare.
Wick is only somewhat less common in Great Britain than Vick, which is not very common.
So come on WICKs, check it out. Maybe we'll even find some distant German WICK cousins.
