Searching for information regarding Samuel Whitmore found in the 1840 US census, NY, Onondaga Co. living next door to his sister: Aurnea Whitmore Raymond and her husband Anthony Raymond. The census indicates Samuel is married with one son under 5, and daughters age 5, 10 and 15. The Marcellus town cemetery shows a child of Samuel's died age 2 in 1833, and that his wife died in 1844 age 35. Other Whitmores found in the cemetery are William Whitmore b. 1866, William D. Whitmore b. 1833 (possibly son of Elias Whitmore), Mrs. Whitmore b. 1789, Jabez Whitmore b. 1766, Asa Whitmore b. 1779, children of George and Ruel Whitmore, and Widow Whitmore, mother of Mrs. Bogue b. 1739 Samuel's sister Aurnea Whitmore Raymond b. 1804 d. 1854. One other sister may be Lydia Whitmore Fuller b. 1806, d. 1828. Aurnea's husband Anthony Raymond lived in Boonsville, Oneida County. If he met his wife, Aurnea, there she may be the daughter of Joshua Whitmore found in Boonsville in 1820. No further information on Joshua has been found. I believe these people are all connected, I just can't seem to connect the dots. Any information greatly appreciated.
