Sorry i have been away.
I do not know the names of all the children. So far I have found George, Charles, Ellen, Betsy,mary ann and William. this was on various censuses. Thomas senior was married to Mary, surname unknown. She was a widow living at Mellis in 1841 and 1851 (surname mistranscribed as Whitman) with Charles and his wife and son. Charles aged 30 in 1851, born Mellis.
George born 1813 Mellis, seems to have abandoned his family but given as a publican at his daughter's wedding in 1880.
The scribbled family tree I have does not name the children, just gives the number. The elder Thomas (or perhaps not!) seems to have had an illegitimate child as well. Must visit the record office
