Edward Hadlond (Hadland) served from 1862-1863 when he dies of typhoid fever in St. Louis. Private letters to his parents note photos he sent to them and siblings. He fought in many battles as drum major - head of drummers and band. Was at Pea Ridge in 1862 when Union routed General Price's CSA troops. His parents were Thomas and Rachel Hadlond, St. Louis. His brother William severed in the US Navy on the USS Cincinnati on the Mississippi at Vicksburg.
