looking for relatives of Samuel WhitleyI who would have lived in this area in 1739.

I found an abstract of a will for a Samuel Whitley dated March 4, 1739....Tyrrell County, NC
This copy of the will only says that "lands and property bequeathed to wife and children, who are not named. Son-in-law: William Archdecon. Executors: Samuel Whitley and William Kennedy. Clerk of Court: Thomas Leary"......

Since there was Samuel Whitley, Samuel WhitleyII, and Samuel WhitleyIII, maybe this will was for one of them?
Was one of these Whitleys related to William Kennedy(mentioned in will)? William Kennedy had a son named Pierce Whitley Kennedy...also William Kennedy had a wife named Frances GIBBS. Was her maiden name Whitley????
