George Harrison Whitecotton was my Uncle, and, as you know a pilot in the U S Army Air Corps, rose to the rank of Lt Col but opted out of the military after his 5 year old daughter developed cancer. He and his wife, Evelyn, returned to their home in Kentucky to spend the final days with their daughter, Georglyn. He became a coach and teacher in Marion, KY. Evelyn became the post mistress in their hometown of Carrsville, Ky. They never recovered from the loss of Georglyn.
