I have on my notes that Elmer's wife was Verna Coulthard. Her mother was Permilla Cooper, who was Canadian. Her mother was Ann Mitchell. Her father Philip came from Colyton, the rebellious town in Devon, South West England. His mother was Ann Underdown, whose father Thomas (1717-1795) is the son of my direct ancestors Thomas Underdown and Grace Penniton. So, if I am correct, which is a big if, then we are very distantly related. I have only been able to research back another 3 generations, but can offer info to your son if he wants.
