Deceased Name: Raymond H. Weyhrauch
. — Raymond H. Weyhrauch, 94, of Terre Haute, and formerly of St. Bernice, passed away at 11:55 a.m. Sunday, April 4, 2010, in Royal Oaks Health Care and Rehabilitation in Terre Haute. He was born on March 29, 1916, in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Albert Weyhrauch and Agnes Dean Weyhrauch. He spent 40 years on the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific and Louisville and Nashville railroads, retiring in 1976. He also was an agent for American Family Insurance for more than 25 years, retiring from this part-time endeavor in 1987. He was a member of the Transportation Communications International Union, attended church at the St. Bernice Nazarene Church and Terre Haute First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Anna Mae Hale Weyhrauch on Sept. 11, 1996; sisters, Lillian Stout and Dorothy Ruth Heber; and brothers, Edward Weyhrauch and Russell Weyhrauch.
He is survived by son, Raymond Weyrauch and wife Peggy of Clinton; daughters, Judith Harris and husband Kent of Terre Haute, Karen Griffin and husband Marion of Greencastle, and Linda Lucas and husband Willis of Claremont, CA.; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law, Richard Hale of Danville, IL.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at Frist Funeral Home, 458 Blackman St., in Clinton, with Dr. Willis Lucas officiating. Burial will follow in the Hoult Cemetery, in Chrisman, IL. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until services at 2 p.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Bernice Nazarene Church, Terre Haute First Baptist Church, or the charity of your choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
