Gordon Lowell Weyhrauch, age 81, of Wells, MN, died Saturday, March 29, 2008 at his home in Wells, surrounded by his family, after a short battle with cancer. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at 10:30 AM at the Medo Lutheran Church in rural Mapleton, MN. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 1, 2008, from 4:00-8:00 PM at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Pastor Dave Danner will officiate and burial will be in Medo Lutheran Cemetery. Military Honors by the Waldorf American Legion Post.
Gordon L. Weyhrauch was born September 3, 1926 the son of Frank and Louise (Drehmel) Weyhrauch in Freedom Township, Waseca County, MN. He attended country school by Waldorf, MN, and Waldorf High School. Gordon was in the United States Army from 1953-1955 and was a Korean War Veteran. On August 16, 1963, he was united in marriage to Leanna Jean Mortensen at the Medo Lutheran Church. Gordon farmed until 1985, and worked at Swift –Eckrich in Wells until retiring. He was a member of Medo Lutheran Church. Gordon enjoyed playing cards, and watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy on TV. He loved his family, the grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his many friends.

Weyhrauch is survived by his wife, Leanna of Wells, MN; 7 children: Perry (Ronda) Mortensen of Pemberton, MN, Wesley Weyhrauch of Troy, OH, Michael (Connie) Weyhrauch of rural Mapleton, MN, Shara (Gordon) Pearson of Mapleton, MN, Kristin (Todd) Morton of Wells, MN, Marcus (Kathryn) Weyhrauch of Wells, MN, Garrett (Vanessa) Weyhrauch of Delavan, MN; 17 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; 1 brother: Ward (Norma) Weyhrauch of Waldorf, MN; 1 sister: Lois Detjen of Waseca, MN; 1 sister-in-law: Evelyn Weyhrauch of Waseca, MN; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Davin, 2 brothers: Harlan and Lloyd Weyhrauch; 4 sisters: Marion, Alice, Francis (at age 9), and Pearl (in infancy).
