The above were my 2nd great grandparents. Caroline was born in 1815 in NC. Her father was Rhodey and mother was Ann Hipp. Caroline and Wm. were married by his father, Richard Hayward Waters, a court clerk. The marriage is recorded in a family bible. They married May 17, 1834.

Caroline also used the name Emaline, which may have been her middle name. She died in Pope Co IL in a undisclosed place. Their son, James A. Waters was my great grandfather. His son Dolph Waters was my grandfather. His daughter Freeda Waters was my mother.
