THOMAS S. and ALLIE BALL WESTBROOK

THOMAS S. was born ca 1796 in Georgia. He served in the Florida Wars under General Jackson. On December 7, 1819, Thomas married ALLIE BALL in Greene County, Georgia. By 1830 they were living in Henry County, Georgia, probably that part that is now Clayton County.
In 1852, THOMAS, his wife, his mother and all the children except LOUISA and SEABURN JASPER migrated to Cass County, Texas. He bought land on the waters of Flat Creek. Some of the adjoining owners to his property were Richard M. Fletcher, G. B. Hanes, W. J. Henderson and W. W. Swinford. He deeded his property (848 acres more or less) to his children on 1 November 1871.
ALLIE BALL WESTBROOK was born ca 1800 in North Carolina, she died between 1860 and 1870. THOMAS' mother, born about 1762, North Carolina, had lived with them at least from 1830 until her death sometime between 1860 and 1870.
In 1880 THOMAS was living with his grand-daughter, LOUISA (daughter of LOUISA WESTBROOK and ALEXANDER DUNN), who had married as his second wife, WILLIAM R. EASON. THOMAS died the latter part of 1880 at age 84.
His children were:
1. LOUISA M. born ca 1821; married 18 January 1842 in Henry County, Georgia, ALEXANDER DUNN. She died before 1871.
2. NANCY A., born ca 1823; married 6 January 1841, Henry County, Georgia, WILLIAM . ELLINGTON. They are buried in Floyd Hill Cemetery.
3. ELIZABETH BELL WESTBROOK, born March 1825, Henry County, Georgia; died 1910, 26 March 1857, she married JOHN S. BLANKENSHIP. He was a charter member of Floyd Hill Baptist Church when it was organized in 1854.
4. JULIA ANN WESTBROOK, born ca 1827; died 1910. She did not marry; is buried at Floyd Hill Cemetery.
5. THOMAS N., born ca 1832, was a teacher and living with G. C. McMichael in 1860.
6. SEABORN JASPER, born ca. 1834.
7. JOHN HENRY WESTBROOK, born 20 October 1836, Georgia; died 4 October 1908; was a Confederate veteran. He married first, 6 November 1866, ZEPHRONIA C. MORELAND; and second Mrs. MATTIE P. GRAHAM. He and Zephronia are buried in Floyd Hill Cemetery.
8. SARAH JANE (Jennie) WESTBROOK was born 30 July 1837; died 17 August 1899. She married 20 November 1870, JOSEPH S. DRAPER. They are buried in Floyd Hill Cemetery.
9. ELIJAH G. WESTBROOK was born ca 1840. He is shown on the 1870 census as being a merchant with wife LASSIE and daughter Emma.
10. BENJAMIN F., born January 1842 in Jonesboro, Henry County (now Clayton), Georgia; married 22 December 1870, MARY E. BRUNSON. In 1873 they moved to Grayson County, Texas.
