Searching for relatives of Friedrich Wilhelm Wunder who was born and died in Germany(areas near Bodenteich and Uelzen). His wife was Johanne Baumgarten. Their daughter, Johanne Wunder was my great grandmother. She married Jurgen Hamann. Also looking for birth and death dates on Friedrich and Johanne Baumgarten Wunder.

I have an original studio photograph of “Clara Wesche”, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. Photo was taken in Washington, KS, and she looks to be about 20 years old.

I found Clara in the 1900-1920 censuses for Barnes (Washington Co.) KS, living with her parents August F. and Olive Wesche, and in 1900, her birthdate is shown as Mar 1886. She had a sister Dora.

Your Greatgrandfather was Karl Frederick Wilhelm Wesche and greatgrandmother was Pauline Schmidt. Karl's parents were Dietrich Frederick Herman Wesche and Julianne Will. Karl's children were Arthur born 2/27/1899. Ferdinand Wesche was born 8/18/1901. Walter C. Wesche was born 9/3/1903. and Erwin A. Wesche was born 12/1/1905. Hi Mark, I'm related to the wesche family. Adolph L. Wesche was born 8/10/1851 and died in 10/4/1913. He was married in 5/11/1880 to Johanna Stebbins. She was born in 1/13/1858 and died in 3/23/1947. They had 9 children. Eda Wesche, There were 2 girls named Eda. Julia, Dorothea, Emily, Herman Bernard Wesche, Walter P. Wesche, Hulda Auguste Wesche, and Joanna Ernestine Wesche. Dietrich was born in Hannover,Germany 8/26/1848, died 1/5/1909 in Ellisville,Missouri. Juliane Will was born 1854 and died 9/28/1872. They were married 10/20/1871. His 2nd spouse, was Anna Louise Steinmeier born 2/5/1850 and died in 1/8/1905. They were married 20/ july/1873 I have a list of their children and grandchildren. Josh: I am the first cousin of Mark (aka Marco, Marko) and Adolph was our G-Grandfather through Joanna Stebbins and their son Herman Bernard of Wellsville NY, who married Pauline Vossler. Adolph eventually moved to Crewe VA, leaving his family in NY, and took a second wife Ettie May Bagley, falsely stating on his marriage license application that he was a widower. He died there in 1913, one year after the wedding. My father has seen his gravesite in the Bagley plot in a local cemetery in Crewe. If my memory serves me well, Ettie May never remarried, but died after a lengthy widowhood and is buried with Adolph. I guess every family tree has some interesting skeletons in the closet! WESCHE and he is originally from Germany but moved to Western Samoa to marry his beloved wife who is of Samoan descent.

I'm looking for Barbara, who attended Caleton University in Ottawa, Canada back in the late 60s. Her brother--I think his name was Rolphe--was a professor there at the same time.
Early in 1970's, Barbara went to West Berlin, where I visited her in 1972. I think she's originally from Hamburg.

I do have an Adolph Wesche (b.1851) in my family tree. I however, do not have too much information on him. His wife was a Joanna Stebbins (b.1858) and they had four children: Edward, Julia, Dora, and Emma so I suppose your grandfather would be Edward if this is your line. Adolph's parents were Johann Henry William Wesche (1814-1894) and Dorothea Henrietta Brake (1811-1866). They are my GGG grandparents. If any of this inforamtion sounds familiar, and if you have anything more you can add, please let me know as I would love to see what you can add and vice versa.

I may have some connection to Wesche's in MO. My G-grandfather moved to MO from NY and later returned to NY. I think his name was Adolph. I'll have to check with my mom on that. If this sounds interesting to you, I will pursue it further.

I'm looking for anyone connected to a German line of the Wesche family who eventually settled in Missouri. The furthest I have back is Detrich Fredrich Herman Wesche who married Juliane Fredericke Will. Their son was a William Wesche. William had 5 children, Arthur (1899-1982), Ferdinand (1901-1999), Walter (1903-), my grandfather Erwin (1905-1984), and Ruth (1907-1907). Erwin lived in St. Louis at least from 1938-1984. I don't know if I can help, but I do have family with the surname of Wesche from Missouri. My Grandfather, Erwin A. Wesche and his wife, Lillie Ahlbrand, lived in St. Louis beginning in 1938. They had three children, my mother Marlette, Viola, and William. I would like to help, but the Wesche family is the family that I know the least about out of my four grandparent's families.
