I am searching for information about or descendants of Nathan Welcher (1886-1948) who maried Mabel Ely in 1910. They were farming in Assyria Township, Barry Co, in 1920 and in Kalamo Twp, Eaton Co. in 1930. They are buried in the Wilcox Cemetery, Maple Grove Twp, BarryCo. At least one daughter, Myrtle, born about 1914. Possibly a second daughter, Chloe, born 1911, died 1919.

I'm a descendant of a Nathaniel Welcher that we know next to nothing about. He had a son, William Giles, who was my gggrandfather. All we know is that he was William's father and from around the New York/New Jersey area (if I remember right). Let me know if this lines up with yours, as that's where my research has gotten stuck. Thanks.

Thanks for your e-mail. It appears that we are talking about two different Nathan Welchers. The Nathan of my inquiry was born 11 January 1886 in Michigan. As far as I know, he had but one daughter. . . .Byron Schmid
