This post is two-sided. First, I am looking for any information I can find on Nathaniel Welcher, any other descendants, or his ancestors. All I know is that he was the father of William Giles Welcher, born June 26, 1836 in Newark, New Jersey. I don't have any information on Nathaniel other than his name on William's military records.

Second, I am searching for the descendants of Sherman Grant Welcher, born September 1, 1866 in either Bristow or Farley, Iowa, & married Elsie Stone in about 1872, in Iowa(we think). Sherman was a twin, whose twin brother's name was Grant Sherman (my great-grandfather). Any help I can get on either or both of these people would be greatly appreciated.
