Hi Lee, I don't think we have spoke before. Which book are you referring to? And does it discuss the Weisiger's before the Daniel Weisiger of abt 1710?

DATA: Weisiger, Miss Louise listed in 1929 Richmond, VA yearbook

DATA Message RE: The Marshallite, 1929 John Marshall High School yearbook (Richmond, VA).

This yearbook lists the members of the Senior class of 1929, faculty members, members of the Corps of Cadets, and many members of various clubs (not all). Unfortunately, it does not list the names of the members of the Junior, Sophomore or Freshmen classes (only officers listed for those classes). It includes the following name(s):

Weisiger, Miss Louise
Weisiger, Miss Louise P.

There's over 1,900 records, so I've only listed the name(s), as it appears in the yearbook in this message.

If you would like to view all of the information that I extracted from the yearbook, I have uploaded it to my freepages genealogy web site. The link to the first page of these extracts on my web site is:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~sassytazzy/family/r...

Or it can be accessed through the "General Research" link on the main page at:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~sassytazzy/index.ht...

Please note that my site contains free genealogy related data & IS NOT a "commercial" or "advertising" site. Until I can get back out & do research on my own families, my hobby is posting free genealogy related data online that may help other reseachers. I put all kinds of genealogy information on my web site (including information others send to me to share on the site), not just data about the families I am researching (therefore I can't answer questions about everyone I have listed on the site). I hope the information I've put online helps someone with their research . . .

Susan :)
Sassytazzy's Online Genealogy Research Library
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~sassytazzy/index.ht...

Hi Gayle,
I read your query on your Weisiger family and I believe your John is a brother to my great-great-grandfather David Baird Weisiger, only I have his name as John Whitworth ( not Whitmore ) Weisiger and his wife is Mary Potts. If you think this might be your John you can e-mail me at bgbkatz@aol.com. I have more information on him I can look up.
Brenda

Crooks

Looks like there should be some connection. Where was your grandfather from? Our Thomas Crook (1/1834) was the son of John Whitmore Weisiger(1795)his mother was Mary Potts. He was married twice, first unknown but was the mother of the John I was looking for. After talking to relatives I remembered he was killed by a train in Wash.DC where they were living. I do not see a Sidney Weisiger in The Weisiger Family by Benjamin Boisseau Weisigee III. I can sent you the phone # where you can order the book. It goes back to ole Daniel Weisiger supposely the first Weisiger in America. He was quite a card.
I will keep my eyes open for anything that might help you.

I have found your Evan Shelby Weisiger born July 14 1830 died Oct 8 1913 in Brazera, Texas. The Weisiger book says he married Gabriel and list two children Willella Weisiger born 1868 and HALBERTA WEISIGER
1872. I will do more research if you would like but it would be easier if I had you E-mail address. I have some references.

You can order the "Weisiger Family Book" from Rocky Ridge Press
807 Lindsay Court
Richmond, Va 23229
(804) 288-0680 weisiger@erols.com
www.nova.com/rockyridgepress
$14.00
1.75 shipping
4.50 Virginia Tax
It was researched by a member of the family thru the Va archives. There are some mistakes on our particular line since John Whitworth left Va for NC, but it is a very good book and should be in your genealogical library. I am right now getting ready to be in touch with a Weisiger in Fort Worth Tx who is the one who told me about this book.

Yours, Daniel the Immigrant, Daniel and Lucy Price, Dr Joseph Weisiger, he married 3 times but your line was from 1st wife Sasan Lewis Rochester . I am having trouble reading and trying at the same time. More later. gayle
