Hello cousin. I am responding on my wife's Ancestry account. My grandfather Peter Thommes, was the brother of your mothers grandfather Jakob, b 1856, d 1910. I would like to get information on the year your great grandfather emigrated to the US. I believe he came here with his older brother Anton, b 1853 d 1923 also known as Anthony. Anton and Jakob had a tailor shop in Chicago and my grandfather (b 1863) worked there until he repaid his brothers for his passage. Anton, Jakob and Peter are buried in St. Boniface cemetery in Chicago longside their wives. Are your Weidner's the Buffalo Grove family?
