I am trying to find more info on John Thomas Weekly. He was from Berrien county Georgia. He served in the 50th GA infantry. He had two sons, Wright and John Jr. Married Elizabeth O. Luke in 1859. Can anyone help?

Judy, Noticed your message on Weekly/Morris. My father was Morris Weekly Jr. born 11/4/1926, died 9/2/1990. His father was Morris and his grandfather was William. Area would have been Charleston, West Virginia. Morris Sr. married Fannie Harshbarger. William was married to Octavia, I believe. Any info would be appreciated!

I have been looking for George Weekly married to Racheal Morris who were from Georgia, approximate dating is late 1700. I found a son ,Cyrus Weekly who married Nancy Walker in Opelousas on Nov 4, 18ll, but have been unable to get any validation on George married to Racheal.

I have connected my husband all the way to George but I am at a road block and have kind of put it on a back burner. Any help you can give me would be appreciated.

I know John Thomas Weekly served in the Confederate Army, in the 50th Georgia Regiment, Company I, Berrien Light Infantry. From the family legend, I know he was murdered in north Georgia on his way home from the war after the surrender at Appomattox. Since he never returned from the war and his gravesite is unknown everything about him is sort of a mystery. In case you're wondering I'm the son of Curtis Sheppard, I imagine he was one of your uncles.
