Elizabeth WEEKLY is my gr-gr-grandmother. She was born 1839 in IN, died there in 1881. She married John M. Bozell (1833-1917) on Jul 8, 1877 in Bartholomew Co., IN. Their children were: Essa May, Josephine, Albert, Kate, John Lincoln, Odis, Cora, Arthur, Thomas and Ada.

I would like to learn who Elizabeth?s family was. I know nothing about them. Have quite a bit on the Bozell family and willing to share.

Hi there, I do not know anything for sure but I have found:

1870 Census: Indiana, Parke County, Green
Source Citation: Year: 1870; Census Place: Greene Township, Parke, Indiana; Roll: M593_349; Page: 73; Image: 146.

Ancestry.com, page 7 of 29.

Dwelling 59/Family 57:
Marks, John, 69, male, white, farmer, born in PA
Marks, Rebecca, 69, female, white, keeping house, born in KY
Marks, Mary, 35, female, white, keeping house, born in Indiana
Marks, Elizabeth, 30, female, white, keeping house, born in Indiana
Woodrain (?), Tales (?), 10, male, white, born in Indiana
Weekley, Samuel, 60, male, white, farm laborer, born in KY

Rebecca was a Weekly.

This is the same county (Parke) where I found a marriage record of William E Weekly and Nancy Nevins in 1836. Interestingly, William married Irene Skaggs in 1841. I don't know what happened to Nancy, have found no records.

How very intriguing. I wonder if the families were related? The children's names of your family and mine are all different, so it doesn't seem to be the same family. But the location and time period suggests I might profitably search the Parke records. Thanks! Here is a link to my posted family tree. Elizabeth Weekly is the only person in it with that surname.

By the way, I got a kick out of your user name, Toonces 74. Reminded me of watching all those Saturday Night Live shows back in the 70'.
