I AM ALSO A DECENDANT OF TROSPER WEBRE AND ROSALIE JEAN LOUIS. THEIR DAUGHTER MARTHA WEBRE BURBANK IS MY GRANDMOTHER AND HER SON JOSEPH IS MY FATHER. THE ONLY RECORD I HAVE FOUND SO FAR IS THEIR MARRIAGE RECORD WHERE HIS NAME IS SPELLED WITH A T. HOWEVER ONE OF MARTHA SONS WAS NAMED PROSPER SO THE MARRIAGE RECORD MAY BE AN ERROR. WE ARE PLANNING A WEBRE/WEBER FAMILY REUNION IN JULY OF 2009 IN NEW ORLEANS AND I PLAN TO GO TO EDGARD TO DO MORE RESEARCH. I AM AWAY FROM MY HOME AND DON'T HAVE MY GENEOLOGY INFO WITH ME, BUT I TRACED OUR WEBRE FAMILY TREE BACK THROUGH JOHANN.

I went to St. Augustine High School with a Morris and Wilbur Burbank (who I knew were related to my dad's aunt Artemese (Weber)Jacobs [A.K.A. "Aunt Temeese"] - Daughter of Prosper Weber and Theodorine ("Momma Noon") Weber. I also attended Xavier University and had a class with Morris and Wilbur's sister. I can't recall her name, but I know we shared a class. I didn't realize how we were connected until I began researching my dad's side of the family tree. If you are still out there (descendant of Prosper Burbank), talk to me.

My dad is related to Skip Alexander, first cousin and had a brother named Prosper Burbank, whose mom was Marthe' Webre but this was in the more recent times. This Prosper, aka "Trespas" was passant blanc and had a wake at Blandit in Treme' in NOLA in the mid 70's. They are all originally form Edgard.

My great-grandfather was Whitney Antoine Webre, listed only as Antoine under the children of Antoine Edmond Webre and Marie Fedeline Roger. If you have any information on Antoine Edmond I would appreciate having it. Information on Antoine Edmond and Marie Fedeline is scarce. Thanks

Elodie "Ludie" Bizette was my 1st cousin's grandmother. I am actually researching this family line for her. It is nice to hear from you and I would like to share information. Ludie married Joseph Hermes Jarreau 6 April 1921 and they had 5 children. My cousin is the daughter of their oldest son Clarence. Do you know Rosalie's maiden name. Any additional information on the Bizette ancestors would be appreciated.

Looking for information on Prosper Webre (Weber) who lived in Edgard, LA . Together with Rosalie Jean-Louis, they conceived my great grandmother (Theodorine Weber). My family tree stops at Prosper. I wanted to go further back if possible. Any information would be appreciated.

I have located this family in the 1910 and 1920 census, still searching for 1930 census. Beinvenue and Rosalie were each married prior to their own marriage. He had one daughter (Medara b abt 1898) by his first marriage and children with Rosalie were Josephine b abt 1910, Witney b abt 1912, Morris b 7 January 1915 and Tennis b 20 May 1917. I do not know Rosalie's maiden name but her 1st husband's surname was Bizette. Any information on this family would be appreciated. In 1910 and 1920 they were living in Pte Coupee Parish, LA.

My great-grandmother was Philomene Laurentia Webre who was the daughter of Antoine Edmond Webre and Marie Fedeline Roger.

I believe that in the family tree listed on your web site that Lausoneia ?? (Abt. 1852), the daughter of Antoine Edmond and Marie Fedeline is actually my great-grandmother, Philomene Laurentia Webre who was born on August 9, 1852 in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana.

I just purchased "Vacherie" a book written by Elton Oubre. This is the second printing of this book with updated information on the families from the Vacherie area. I was shocked to read what he wrote about the progenitor of the Webre family in Louisiana. I'm wondering if we will have to rewrite the history on this family. The following is a passage from his book.
" The Webre Family of Vacherie. Jean Lefevre, a French soldier, discharged May 21, 1756, is responsible for one of the worst cases of mistaken idetity in the geneology of the German Coast. As a native of France, and as Jean Fevre, son of Jean Fevre and Catherine Stein Matterine, he married at the German Coast church on May 1, 1753 to Anne Catherine Tregre. He signed the marriage record as Jean Levefere".

What do you make of this? If this is true then all the information about Johann Webre is incorrect and not a part of the Webre history as we know it. Tell me it isn't so.

i am looking for any info.on an apolinia weber who married first to valentin klingmann and 2) to henri hartmann..she died before 1852..proberly in france....her son is joseph p.klingman who went to houma,la in 1831.i highly suspect that she had a sister named carloine weber who married into the zehringer family..as there was an andre zehringer who was a border in the 1850's with joseph klingman in houma..suspect he is a first cousin..any help is appeciated..apolinias maiden name is spelt as weber but i know the germans spelt it as webre...

Danny, the only names i have are my mother's Anne Eugene Webre and my grandmother Pearl Collette Webre, I will try to find my mother's birth certificate. Our family history seemed to be a secret. I only know that my mother's father was from the Convent area and died at the age of 28 when my mother was a child, if memory serves me right, she was a baby and i believe at some point i was told he died at the age of 28 in 1928?

I am looking for information to fill in these notes taken by my Grandmother.
My Grandmother, Ida Bernadene WEBER b. 2 Jan 1891. After talking to her father, Matthew WEBER b. 1863 d. Aug 1958, about his family Ida wrote:

Older than Theodore WEBER who was about 20 or 22 yrs old.
Laban WEBER - son
Frank WEBER carpenter. Sachbrach on Rine River.
Married at St. Mary Church in Madison, Indiana.
Agnes - GANDER her mother name was WILSBACK.

I know that Theadore m. Agnes and they had five children:
Matthew m. Mary Reiling
Barbara
Lena
Frank
Louis

If anyone is looking into this family I sure could use some help.
