Correction: My paternal grandfather's name was Alfred Webdale, who died in Toronto Ontario in 1964. Great grandfather was Edward Webdale. Many years ago I heard an aunt say that we were descended from one of the "Brenatta (sp?) Boys", who were apparently orphans brought over to Canada by a Dr. Brenatta (or some name that sounded like that). My father (also Edward Webdale, a retired RCMP officer who was killed in a traffic accident in 1979) said that we were the last Webdales - obviously untrue, as there appear to be many other Webdale's out there. Are we related? It would be interesting to know.
