As far back as I can go in my direct line is Elisha Webb, born about 1824 in AL and died July 2, 1863 as a Civil War POW in Ft. Deleware, N.J. He left a widow, Mary Sharp, in Lafayette County, MS from which state he joined to fight in this war. They had the following children: Elijah b. 1845; William W., born 1847; John Thomas born 1851; Silas Walker born 1853; Elisha II or Jr. born 1855; and James Henry born 1857. Elijah was born in AL and all the others in MS.
